The Rheumatology Clinic is a regional clinic with units in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. We provide highly specialized care in the northern region where we assess and treat patients with inflammatory joint and systemic diseases. The clinic is dominated by patients requiring active anti-rheumatic treatment as well as acute and consultative services. Digital healthcare meetings via telemedicine, for example, are part of the operations.

Here, you will work with team rehabilitation as well as your own outpatient services. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues in a smaller unit consisting of a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, two nurses, and a medical secretary. The entire regional clinic has a close collaboration where you have the opportunity for introduction by experienced colleagues in Umeå and participate in the ongoing development within the organization. Here, you have the opportunity to offer patients modern rheumatology rehabilitation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physiotherapist with us, you contribute to increased quality of life for patients through your specific knowledge in areas such as physical activity and healthy living habits.

You assess rehabilitation needs and then provide targeted interventions in the form of treatment, training, or education. Interventions occur both individually and in groups. You lead group training both in the form of pool training and land training, which can sometimes be physically demanding for you as a therapist. Team rehabilitation and rehab periods are conducted together with an occupational therapist colleague and sometimes a nurse. Promoting healthy living habits characterizes your working method. You plan your days together with your colleagues in the small unit where the advantage is that you work closely together with quick decision-making paths and good communication. There are great opportunities for development for you as an individual and for the organization. We are working on continued development in the area of digital healthcare meetings to offer patients care in a modern way in Southern Lapland.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist. Relevant further education (e.g., OMT and experience with MI, motivational interviewing) is an advantage. Part of the work also involves creating adherence to treatment and working preventively regarding comorbidity with other diseases.

The job requires that you can work independently as you are the only professional in your field in the unit and have the ability to make decisions and make your own assessments while being part of the team. This places high demands on flexibility and collaboration skills. You also have the ability to plan and organize your workday effectively. Other valued qualities include an interest in developing the organization.
